Design #1: Japanese Culture Icons- Godzilla

Personal project from Victor Valiente

Description: My first impression of this poster was that it had an adorable and creative design.

The primary element in this poster, ‘Godzilla’ , is the most famous cultural icons from Japan, the designer displayed this icons as classic poster.

The poster also lists its features and specials, like ‘Godzilla’ is the highest fictional monster originating from Japan. 

This poster also shows that Godzilla as a massive creature that causes a lot of destruction in cities

Design #2: Breath Easy campaign- Save world’s rainforests

Description: My first impression of this poster was that it gives a strong resonance.

The earth is held in the hands of humans, showing the responsibility of humans to protect the planet. And that humans are responsible for much of the destruction to earth.

The colors of the word and earth are green, shows that greening of the environment is the most important duty of humans.

Design #3: It’s Nice That- Self Cheers

Description: This poster expresses in a cute drawing style that it's important to make yourself happy and cheer for yourself.

The poster shows a hand HI-FIVE with herself in the mirror to cheer herself up and get positive. The poster also expresses that the best way to digest bad feelings is to cheer yourself up and reconcile with yourself.

1. PRE-COMPOSITION #1

I cut out a few pieces of paper from magazines and used them as backgrounds

The magazine I choose was a fashion magazine name '品'(Pin Prestige)

2. PRE-COMPOSITION #2

The main character- Rina Fukushi

I cut out my main characters, the characters are in color and black and white

The fonts and pictures behind the characters are like her experiences, include the trouble or the happy things she met in her life

3. PRE-COMPOSITION #3

The lettering put on at the end was like her troubles, which always surrounded her and even blinded her, but eventually she was able to see the path ahead and make her future life clear.

Like what she said in this magazine interview, 'My goal in life is to constantly self-improve and become a better version of myself and spend my life as Rina.'

The best composition I thought was the first one

DESCRIPTION:  I learnt how to crop the image and remove their background

After apply adjustment layers and filter

Reflection

From this task, 

I learnt how to put filter and layer mask into the layer with image, and I also knew that how to adjust the filter and choose the most  suitable one
