INSTRUCTION
PROJECT 1B: DIGITAL IMAGING EXERCISE 01- THE BREAKDOWN
In this exercise, we required to use
1. Quick Selection Tool
2. Layer Mask
3. Filters
4. Color Correction
Process
Use 'quick selection tool' to select the picture that we wanted to crop out
After that, copy and paste it to the 'Hear Mansion' file
Image>Adjustment>Match color - adjust the color of the shazam, make it be more real like human stay indoor
Afterward, I make the reflection of this subject
Copy the subject layer and paste it as reverse
Pen tool- remove the over reflection
Image>Adjustment>Brightness/Contrast, and Filter>Gaussian Blur to make reflection more reality
After that, we required to repeat the Shazam exercise by using our own photo
We need to take eye-level photos of ourselves
And the other procedures was same with the previous exercise
I chose to take my photos outside, brightness of the outdoor light is better for me to adjust the color of photos

PROJECT 1B: DIGITAL IMAGING EXERCISE 02- RECOLORING BLACK AND WHITE
In this exercise, we required to Turn B&W photo into COLOUR photo
PART 1
Process
First, I create a new layer named face
I use brush tool to color the face (adjust the size and hardness, select the color)
Apply the suitable blending mode (multiply/ overlay/ soft light)
I chose overlay as the blending mode of the skin
Afterward, I repeat the steps to color the hair, lips, eyes -Overlay
And I apply soft light blending mode on coat
I create a new layer for background
Fill in the color (edit> fill)
and add all selection from all layers: face, hair, eyes, coats, lips
Then apply the selection to background layer mask
Lastly, invert the background layer mask
Apply soft light blending mode

PART 2 ADVANCE RECOLORING EXERCISE 01

Use EYEDROPPER pick up highlight, midtone and shadow from (p1)
same step to choose the hair color from (p2)
Quick Selection Tool to select the hair area
Create a clipping mask
Select 'overlay' and brush over the edges
later create solid layer to choose hair color (from three hair tones)
apply the layer mask of the selected area to the solid colour
drag and drop hair layer mask to new solid layer to replace layer mask
select 'softlight' blending mode
Then,
Repeat for other areas like lips, ear rings, cloth

Reflection
The breakdown exercise, which involves deconstructing and artistically altering photos, which has expanded my technique skills.
From recoloring task, I learned to use tools like the brush tool, selection tools, and adjustment layers effectively. Layer management proved essential for controlling different elements. This technique allowed me to breathe new life into old images, enhancing my appreciation for photo restoration.
